The drum n' base music scene is big in London and across the UK at present. The music scene has got some A-list type celebrity DJs but most people wouldn't recognise them - it is an 'underground' music scene in that it doesn't have a big following except amongst young clubbers who go out at weekends to attend the dances and raves where the DJs perform their sets.

The crucial thing D n' B shares with its grand-daddy, hip-hop, is the breakdown of the divide between performer and audience.
ReplyDeleteTo really get a top grade for this project, try to make the point that the music is from 'the streets' - it could be one way to go in that an article about the fans of d 'n b themselves feature - focus in on aspects about the fans' lives/lifestyle and background, and what is it about d 'n b they love. It isn't all about the drugs!
