Definition of Drum and Bass
- Drum n' Bass - Inner city music which is usually crossed with Hip hop, Rap and Grime scenes. Both Black and White ethnicity enjoy the Fast breakbeats and mixes created by the DJ. DNB is popular by both male and female.
- Drum n' Bass is not in with main stream music, instead is a type of underground music. There are many great DNB (Drum and Bass) artists that are known to true DNB fans but are ' Undercover' to the public because Drum and bass is not a mainstream genre of music and is not catered for to the extent of other genres.
- Drum n' Bass is for music for people who 'Live on the edge' as recreational drugs are used frequently to stimulate their minds as they continue to dance to the loud breakbeats. For the drum and bass that has lyrics, a lot of them refer to drugs, sex, guns as this refers to living life on the ' Dangerous side'
- Drum n' Bass is often heard by DJ, this is because most DNB tracks are designed to mixed with either a DJ or MC. The structure of the tracks typically reflects this, with intro and outro designed for a DJ to use while matching his own beats. The DJ mixes between records to create one big DNB tune that pounds through the club creating an ecstatic atmosphere.
